The great effort of every player on the field was crucial to taking the league points.
The goalkeeper and defence lines stuck to the game plan and covered a lot of ground to keep the ball from going over or under the goal posts. Midfielders were strong in both halves and turned over many balls and fed in quick and short passes to the half forwards and full forwards who all worked really hard. Every player kept the momentum going till the last second of play.
Goals were scored in second half by Molly Maguire, Linda Raeside and Grace Daly who ended the match with a total of 2-2 to her credit.
Well done to each and every one of the players for your great team work and your never give up attitude.

Under-12 LGF: Mullingar Shamrocks great match with St. Joseph’s.
They say May is the month to make Hay and that certainly was the aim of the U12 girls who travelled to Paddy Ryan’s pitch, Horseleap. A tough encounter which produced a great game on a fine evening for football. Some superb individual performances which are a testament to coaches Peter Thornton, Matthew Ledwith and Sean Corroon.
Shamrocks started strong in the first 20 minutes but credit to St. Joseph’s who came back in the second twenty to bring the sides level. In the end, after some great scores from both sides, the 25 Shamrocks girls enjoyed a great night's football
