Our President, Detty Cornally and Honorary President Patsy Rylands were present – two distinguished members of Shamrocks Scór royalty. The Ballinagore Gaa were great hosts on the night,
and Fear an Tí Shane King was superb.

Mullingar Shamrocks competed in the Solo Singing, Ballad Group, Instrumental Music and Recitation competitions.
Darragh McCabe, Nathan Fox, Ailish and Orla Nohilly and Dylan Hanly competed in the Instrumental Music; Sarah Forde Áine Hickey, Nathan Fox, Dylan Hanly and Darragh McCabe came together to form a ballad group and Darragh was a really busy man on the night as he also competed in the Solo Singing performing Only Our Rivers Run Free. Áine Hickey really excelled; not only did she compete in the Recitation Competition, she did so reciting her own Irish language composition.
And we were successful in the Solo Singing (Darragh McCabe) and Ballad Group (Sarah Forde, Áine Hickey, Nathan Fox, Dylan Hanly and Darragh McCabe).
Darragh and the Ballad Group now compete in the County Final next Sunday in The Downs. The competitions begin at 2.00 pm.
The wonderful efforts of our Cultural Officer Emma McCabe Byrne supported by Tracy Fox and David Nohilly made all this possible. Well done all.
