Mullingar Shamrocks members and executive extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Anthony Gilligan, Hillside Drive, Mullingar. In particular, sympathy is extended to his daughters Ann and Olga and his sons Martin and Tony, his grandchildren, dear friend Mary, sons-in-law Andrew Feerick and Gerry Whyte, daughters-in-law Siobhán and Laura and members of his extended family and friends.
Anthony reposes at Gilsenan's Funeral Home on tomorrow (Monday) from 4 pm followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm. Anthony's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
Tony’s granddaughters Mia and Zara are valuable members of Mullingar Shamrocks LGF senior team and have given great service to the club over the years. Martin also has coached and managed in his time.
Tony Gilligan was heavily involved in the GAA in his younger days and was Secretary of the Westmeath County Committee 1970-1975.
