First of all, a reminder that Mullingar Shamrocks Forum takes place tonight with a 7.30 start and a guaranteed finishing time no later than 9.00pm. The focus of the evening is the future of LGF in the club.

It is a source of great pride in the club that 6 our players are included in the WestmeathLadies Gaa panel for the new season who continue a proud tradition of Mullingar Shamrocks players contributing to the county. We lead the way with Milltown Ladies GAA.

Congratulations to team captain Lauren McCormack, Anna Jones, Karen Hegarty, Melek Fagan, Susanna Buckley and Mairead Newman who begin the season tomorrow with the long journey to Newtownstewart to play Tyrone in the Lidl Ireland LGF National League Div. 2 match.

It's going to be a tough season with away trips for the first three games v Tyrone, Monaghan and Donegal followed by home games against Cavan and Tipperary and then two more away games against Laois and Kildare to finish the campaign. Another argument in favour of integration one would think.

Lauren, Anna and Karen are scheduled to start tomorrow - a remarkable achievement for Karen who starts her fifteenth season with WestmeathLadies Gaa.
