Congrats Lauren

As Westmeath Ladies continue their preparations for their Lidl National League opener in two weeks’ time against Tyrone, manager Frank Browne has announced that our own Lauren McCormack will captain the team for 2024. Lauren has featured for Westmeath at both underage and adult and has been the first choice goalie for Westmeath seniors for a number of seasons. We wish Lauren the best of luck in the season ahead.

This is a great personal honour that is well deserved and as a club Mullingar Shamrocks take great pride in Lauren's appointment.

Lauren joins two other distinguished Mullingar Shamrocks LGF players who have captained Westmeath adult LGF teams, Carole Finch and Lisa Burke.
