The Colour of Scór ... and the missing answers

The Gleneagle INEC Arena was a spectacular sight on Saturday evening as the results of the various finals were announced. Despite top class performances by Bunbrosna GAA Set Dancers, Ballycomoyle GAA Ballad Group and Mullingar Shamrocks Tráth na gCeisteanna teams, there were no GAA Scór Oifigiúil All-Ireland titles for the three Westmeathgaaofficial Scór Iarmhí representatives.

As reported, after a spectacular 36 correct answers in succession our quiz team of Tom Hunt, Davy Gavin, Ritchie and Conor McKenna missed out on the final individual round section by a single point. TD Duncan Smith’s political party; the state that Michael Johnson, the new speaker of the House of Representatives represents; the director/scriptwriter of An Cailín Ciuin; the fictional town featured in Brian Friel’s Translations and the colour of the letter L in the word Google were the missing answers (And of course everyone reading this knows the answers to these questions!). One more correct would have secured a place in the individual rounds and the chance to win the All-Ireland title. It was not to be.
