New York made a bit of history in Croke Park today when they beat Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Junior Football final. Ian Kavanagh, from the St Barnabas Club, played a significant part in that victory. His father Frank, a champion handballer, was a member of the Mullingar Shamrocks 1992 senior championship winning panel.
