Clarke’s Bar Junior Football I Championship: Mullingar Shamrocks 4-15 Garrycastle 0-4

It was one way traffic for the 60 minutes of this Clarke’s Bar Junior Football I championship played in Springfield on Friday evening. Uniquely, Garrycastle lined out at the same time in senior football championship. Darren Keena was on target from the start and scored 1-1 in the opening minutes and Trevor Keena (0-2), Davy Culkin (0-2), Dylan Franzoni and Darren again added points to send Shamrocks into a 1-7 to 0-0 lead before Garrycastle registered a score. David Culkin goaled and at half-time the score read 2-11 to 0-2. Trevor Keena registered our two second goals as Shamrocks kept their hopes alive in the Junior football I championship.
