Happy Christmas

Writing these notes has been an enjoyable and educating experience; the challenge of coming to terms with the various social media platforms was an interesting one and hopefully members, ex-members, supporters and friends had their Shamrocks experience enhanced by the various positive news feeds. Thanks to all those who supplied information, photographs, video pieces etc during the year and kept the information stream alive.

Many thanks to the sports’ editorial staff of the local press especially the Westmeath Topic and the Westmeath Examiner for their continuous coverage of Shamrocks business over the past twelve months. The Hogan Stand website was equally generous with their coverage.  Thanks also to Aidan Quilligan and Declan Murphy down in Sixmilebridge who created the ClubifyApp and which many members used as their source for the latest news on CLCG Na Seamróg, Muileann gCearr (It is essential that at least one piece of Irish was used over the year).

The officers of the club extend a very Happy Christmas to all members and friends at home and abroad; also to all those who volunteered to help during the year, to our sponsors and to our support staff who ensure that the grounds are maintained to the highest standards during the playing season and the Fitness Centre and AstroTurf are impeccably managed under the expert guidance of supervisor Pearly.
