Breaking News: Santa Claus in Coming to Springfield.

Santa Claus has been in contact with our Secretary Ritchie Daly and has asked us to tell all the boys and girls of our under-6 to under-12 teams that he will be in the Club House in Springfield on Sunday 18  December. He tells us that he will arrive at 6.00 pm sharp and has to leave at 8.00 to continue his rounds.

The Club has decided to honour the visit of the Great Man by organising a Disco and Party starting at 5.30.

Santa has asked us to charge all the children attending €5 to cover the costs of his presents and the Santa’s GPA equivalent has also increased his travelling expenses this year, just like the inter-county players.

Santa has also instructed the under-age coaches of each group to text the parents and guardians and let them know about his plans; he also insisted that the parents must let each coach know about how many intended to come and meet him in Springfield before 6pm on Thursday 15 December as he plans to leave the North Pole at that time and he wants to make sure he has a full load of presents on the sled before he sets out.

Santa also asked that we remind the adults to bring some home baking and goodies for the party.
