LGFA U-16 League: Mullingar Shamrocks 6-4 Tyrrellspass 3-6

Mullingar Shamrocks began with two quick points and a goal scored from play by Grace Daly in first 10 minutes, Tyrrellspass rallied back with a goal and one point then Shamrocks got a goal and point from boot of Grace Daly and Zara Corroon. Tyrrellspass added

4 to their total in the 10 minutes before half-time to leave the scoreboard reading Mullingar Shamrocks 2-3 Tyrrellspass 1-5.

The great effort of every player on the field was crucial to taking the league points.

The goalkeeper and defence lines stuck to the game plan and covered a lot of ground to keep the ball from going over or under the goal posts. Midfielders were strong in both halves and turned over many balls and fed in quick and short passes to the half forwards and full forwards who all worked really hard. Every player kept the momentum going till the last second of play.

Goals were scored in second half by Molly Maguire, Linda Raeside and Grace Daly who ended the match with a total of 2-2 to her credit.

Well done to each and every one of the players for your great team work and your never give up attitude.
