ACL Div. 3: Mullingar Shamrocks 0-18 Garrycastle 1-8

The beat goes on for the Mullingar Shamrocks ACL Div. 3 team after a fine victory over Garrycastle in Springfield on Thursday evening after trailing at the interval by the minimum margin (1-6 to 0-8). Andrew Shaw (0-4), Luke McCabe (0-2), Niall Hannigan and Conor O’Brien were our first half scorers. Shamrocks dominated the second half and outscored Garrycastle 0-10 to 0-2; several great long range points were included in the package of ten scored. Andrew Shaw and Trevor Keena were in inspired form with Andrew continuing to pop over the points adding two more to his first half total. Trevor Keena knocked over 0-4, Shane Ormsby kicked over 0-2 from midfield; Luke McCabe after great work by Mark Flynn and Nathan Smith completed the total.
