Driving to and from matches at the weekend provided an opportunity to check in to various local radio stations through the medium of the car radio and the wonders of the Radio App on the Samsung.

The journey to Kilkenny for the Westmeath v Kilkenny Leinster senior hurling match on Saturday afternoon was shortened by listening to the Radio Kerry commentary on the McDonagh Cup match between Kerry and Kildare with our own Conor McKenna as co-commentator with Mike O’Halloran. The conversational style adopted by Conor and Mike was top of the range and was certainly more entertaining and informative than what Midland 103 and LMFM offered on the important Offaly and Meath Leinster senior football championship.
