New York, New York ...

Two of our most distinguished members represented the club in the great St Patrick's Day Parade in New York and made the long march from 45th to 79th Street up 5th Avenue.

Ned and Pearse linked up with Frank Kavanagh, a former champion handballer and senior championship winner with Mullingar Shamrocks; Criostóir Dalton from Castletown, Michael Stones who recently became the main sponsor of Westmeath Development squads with his brother, and of course Mr Westmeath GAA in New York, the President of New York Westmeath GAA Club, Tom Nugent.

And then in Cheltenham ...

On Saturday afternoon, Aidan Keena scored his first and Cheltenham Town's first goal for his club in their 3-1 win against Exeter City and picked up the Man of the Match Award.

And would you believe a few Mullingar Shamrocks VIPs Sean, Cormac and Sean Og were there to support Aidan, one of our players that got away.
