Fail to Plan …

It is important that the meticulous planning of the organizing committee of Debbie Newman, Roisin Masterson, Niamh Gilmartin, Shandel Sheerin, Tom Hunt and Conor Moore who combined their various skill-sets to deliver a wonderful night of entertainment is acknowledged. It was a night of inclusiveness, where people representing all sections of the club enjoyed each other’s company. Spike Fagan was a clear cut winner of the award for the one who enjoyed himself most of all.

As stated on the night, the contribution of Conor Moore was fantastic in so many ways. From the outset, Conor was fully committed and supported the concept of a night to acknowledge the input of countless volunteers to making the club great over the 70 years of its existence. The special video highlighting our history, that has received so much favourable comment since its release, was the result of hours of work by Conor which involved special recordings and a trawl through numerous hours of match videos for which we are indebted to Ollie Gallagher’s foresight in recording these important occasions as well as assembling the many photos and writing the script. And then of course there was the Tommy Tiernan show stealing interlude!
