Congratulations to Denis and Clíona, and Eamon and Shannon …

Congratulations to Denis Corroon and Cliona McGrath on their recent very special occasion.

Denis has given magnificent service over the years to Mullingar Shamrocks GAA. Sometimes the word stalwart is overused but, in this case, there is no doubt, but that Denis is a stalwart member of our club. Not alone is he a gifted and natural talent on the field of play, our dedicated team captain, he is also a great ambassador and role model for all members in our club and, our younger members. A football purist Denis is our Maurice Fitzgerald. Not alone has he contributed on the playing field but he has also starred on stage in some of our classic fundraising activities whether as a member of a Boy Band or the Proclaimers in Stars in Your Eyes or playing a lead role in Grease, Denis has been a considerable and talented presence. And it’s only a matter of time before we invite Clíona to contribute her considerable talents to the Club Executive.

Congratulations also to Eamon Breslin and Shannon Daly on their special day. Since Bressie came down from the hills of Donegal, he has made a brilliant contribution to the club and rarely if ever misses a club match or occasion. Bressie has been a stalwart member of our Junior football team over the years and as a panellist, he has also been a winner of a senior championship medal in 2018.

Shannon Daly is of course a member of a great Mullingar Shamrocks family and the World Champion Dancer has regularly lined out for the club in Scór, as a member of the champion Figure Dancing Team and of course starred in our spectacular Strictly Shamrocks.

We wish both Denis and Clíona, and Eamon and Shannon the very best in the years ahead
