A good start to the Mullingar Shamrocks Family Fundraiser
The Moore Family were never shy about displaying their Shamrocks colours and today was no different as three generations of one of the great Shamrocks families took part in the Family Festive Fundraiser with Ned, Eddie, Gary all they way from New York with Maeve taking part in her first ever Shamrocks occasion, Leo, Alex, Rogan and Kevin Reid flying the colours in style.
For Tom Hunt it was a journey from Springfield to St Bridget's Well in Cullion and back for his contribution to the Festive Family Fundraiser ... and the journey marked 1006 days walking that began on 6 March 2020 without missing a day. A case surely of obsessive compulsive disorder!
The Nally family with their Canal Bank Walk will be serious contenders for the Best Dressed Shamrocks Family and Rose and Eoin Fuham flew the flag for the young generation of Mullingar Shamrocks people.
The Keaveney family completed a double with the Shamrocks Festive Fundraiser and the Kerrigan’s 5km completed before noon. Walking, skipping and running got the whole Keaveney crew around the course. The Murphy brothers defied the frost and were out early in the Mullingar Shamrocks Family Festive Fundraiser and the O’Reilly boys walked and ran and clocked up 15Km in the process. Geraldine and Susanna Buckley flew the flag for the Mullingar Shamrocks LGF with an early start.
The news from the big match which kicked-off at 9.30 was that Vicenzo's Selection outscored OllieMac's Superstars in the penalty shoot out. We're not saying who missed the penalties but you'd be surprised!
