Under-13 League Mullingar Shamrocks 7-17 Lilliput Gaels 3-9

Mullingar Shamrocks’ under-13 Green team hosted Lilliput Gaels on Wednesday evening in their final group game of phase 2 of the under 13 competition and the home side emerged victorious on a scoreline of 7-17 to 3-9 after a well contested game. The green and whites produced their best display of the year with every player contributing significantly.

The accuracy of Aaron Conroy’s restarts helped Sean Hickey and Hugo Corroon to exert control at midfield and the defensive lynchpins of Oisín Gavin and Ryan McNamee helped to keep tabs on the dangerous Lilliput forwards. Rian Sheerin was also to the fore defensively and in attack Scott Farrelly, Paddy Colleary and Darragh Ryan kept the scoreboard ticking over.
