U16 LGFA Championship Division 3 Round 1: Mullingar Shamrocks 6-11 v Cill Oige 6-15
Hard luck to our Under-16 girls who played an excellent game of football in Springfield on Tuesday evening. At half time the score line was 3-05 to 3-06 in favour of the visitors. The second half started with Cill Oige scoring 2 goals and 4 points in quick succession. All credit to the Shamrock girls who played with great determination and pulled back from 11 points behind with 15 minutes to the end to take it to a 4 point differential at the final whistle.
The girls showed great attitude and teamwork and played great football when under pressure in the second half.
