Under-12 Football Championship: Mullingar Shamrocks 4-11 The Downs 3-2

 Mullingar Shamrocks under-12s continued to show good form in this match against a much improved The Downs team. After trailing by 3-6 to 1-1 at half-time The Downs made a great recovery and scored 1-1 without reply from Shamrocks but the Mullingar lads responded well and with great displays from Rory Hickey, Aaron Russell, Nathan McLoughlin and Carson Hanlon were comfortable winners at the end.

Under-14 Football Championship: Coralstown-Kinnegad 3-24 Mullingar Shamrocks 1-11.

Shamrocks played Kinnegad on Friday last in our fourth game of U14 championship. Although scoring 1-11 we were second best against a very strong and skilful Kinnegad outfit who clocked-up 3-24 on the scoreboard. Special mention to Conor Fagan and Adam Boyle from the under-12 squad who made themselves available after very short notice to play. Both played very well and showed great skill and attitude during the game.
