Minor Football Championship: Rosemount 5-23 Mullingar Shamrocks 1-2.

The system in operation did no favours to Shamrocks in this minor football championship match  as it pitted one of the top teams in Division 1 against a Shamrocks team that has its hands full in Division 2. Nevertheless the lads are to be complimented in the manner in which they battled to what was a bitter end and a heavy defeat.  There will be better days.
