Easter Camp: a wonderful success

Mullingar Shamrocks’ three-day Easter Camp proved a resounding success this week with over 100 youngsters in the 6-11 age bracket enjoying a fun filled few days in Springfield. Sixteen adult coaches gave of their time across the three days and their leadership was supplemented by 11 of our teenage players whose patience, good humour and example helped to make the camp an outstanding success. Pat Collins, Barry Kelly and the club’s football committee did the preparatory work to ensure the camp ran smoothly and all participants and coaches received a well-deserved Easter Egg at the conclusion of proceedings. The positive feedback from players and parents afterwards was nice to hear and see and certainly appreciated. It was wonderful also to offer the opportunity to take part to a number of Ukrainian children recently arrived in Ireland and they greatly enjoyed the week. Thanks to everyone who participated as players, coaches, and organisers.
