After attending Monday night's preview staging of Grease - The Musical, the only appropriate word to describe the show is AWESOME. From start to finish the performance is electric and exploding with energy. There is dancing in the aisles, magical special effects, brilliant dancing and singing and the acting is top class. The set is spectacular and full of surprises while the colour and costume changes are truly dazzling. One could easily sit through another hour of this performance and be still entertained. The show is a wonderful triumph for the production team of Jemma, Niamh and Chris, the cast of forty led by Amber and Ray, the seven piece orchestra and the crew led by stage manager Aaron Purcell. Shane Barkey has produced a colourful and modern programme and of course Smiddy’s as the main sponsor has been a great help.  .  

And the good news is that the show is practically a sell out at this stage. According to the Mullingar Arts Centre website tickets for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday are practically sold out. Some are still available for the GALA NIGHT and for the Sunday matinee.

It is vital that we show our appreciation for the extraordinary commitment shown by those involved in the show by ensuring that our own special night is also a sell-out. One thing is guaranteed.
