Wednesday night was a special night for the under-8 footballers of the county as they were given the opportunity of playing in Cusack Park for the first time. In what we hope was the first of many appearances, Shamrocks fielded three teams in the 7-a-side games organised using the Go Games Concept on this memorable occasion. Each young footballer was given an hour's playing time on the Holy Ground of Westmeath GAA. We were grouped with Kilbeggan, Coralstown-Kinnegad, St Malachy's and Shandonagh.
