Under-12 Girls: “The year had some ups and downs, reflected greatly by having to rearrange games because of extreme heat one week to flooded fields the next!!”
Our Under-12 girls may not have won every match they played this year, but without a doubt, they had a funtastic year! "Winning is a bonus" is the motto of the Under-12 girls, as the year group focus' on developing their skills and love for the game before the competitive years began.
The year had some ups and downs, reflected greatly by having to rearrange games because of extreme heat one week to flooded fields the next!!
A big thank you to all the parents for their support of the girls this year. A massive thank you to our Covid officers, Sharon, Laura and Elva, without them we would not have been able to keep on top of our check-ins!
To Debbie, who is fantastic behind the scenes, helping to organise our games, referees, and pitches. To Emma, Gerry, Mairead and Kevin, for their assistance is the running and functioning of the team throughout the year.
But lastly, the biggest thanks goes to the girls themselves. They have been an outstanding bunch of ladies with huge potential. I have to say, the girls always brought a smile to our faces at training, with their quick wits and their personal motivation to learn and improve themselves.
It has been another amazing year for the girls, best of luck to all our ladies moving up to Under-14s, and we look forward to welcoming back our Under-12s and the growing under-10s next March!
