The third episode of the Mullingar Shamrocks-The Downs trilogy was played on Thursday evening. This one was in the Under-19 Championship and we carved out a well-deserved 5-13 to 1-11 victory. Our men on duty were Sean Hynes; Rory Hickey, Matthew Siode, Tomass Turks; Ciaran Looby, Mark Flynn, William Adzonga; Andrew Shaw, Emmet Walsh; Matthew Clinton, Brian Farrell, Daithí Mairtín; James Devine, Zach Aherne, Matthew Shaw. Replacements: Aaron Russell, Ben Egan.

On Friday night our Under-15 team defeated an understrength Athlone team who were short several of their first team players and did well to field and travel to Mullingar to play the in the knock-out stages of the championship.

The Jackpot has yet to be won in the club’s weekly lotto. For next week’s (18 August) draw it stands at €3,200. The winning numbers were 10,13, 21, 22. Tommy Lambden was the winner of the Lucky Dip prize of €50.
