Great Under-10 LGF Blitz in Ballynacargy …

Well done to all our Under-10 girls who took part in a great LGF Blitz in Ballynacargy this morning that also featured Kinnegad, Ballynacargy, Bunbrosna, Garrycastle, St Lomans and Goldsmiths.

Our girls were lining out for the first time in their new jerseys sponsored by O’Briens All Care Pharmacy.

A big thanks to the Ballynacargy club for their superb hosting of the busy morning with our former great player Aidan Lyons the chief ringmaster. Thanks to all the referees who did a fantastic job and to the coaches Karen, Sophie and Colm, and the parents who came along to support the young players. And a special massive thank to our players who put in a fantastic effort in the misty conditions with great tackling, running and team work on display.

Driving home from Ballynacargy it was interesting to listen to a discussion on the radio on the reasons why only 7 percent of teenage Irish girls participate in the recommended amount of daily exercise and recreation. Every girl in Ballynacargy was a winner.
