Praise Indeed ...

Dr Una Fitzpatrick is the senior ecologist at the National Biodiversity Data Centre and one of the architects of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. The Mullingar Shamrocks' biodiversity and Green Club initiative recently attracted the attention of Dr Una who had this to say about the work of our Healthy Club Officer, Joan Ormsby, the one who has made it all happen: 'Joan has been doing amazing work for biodiversity and pollination at the club. They have done incredible stuff. They have biodiversity walking trails. They have put up signs and and lots of other actions to make the club pollinator and biodiversity friendly. They have also linked it back into the community by encouraging retirement groups and local schools to use the walking trails'Praise indeed and coming from an outside observer/expert makes it all the better.
