Lá na gClubanna

The programme of events for our celebration day on Sunday next the GAA's Lá na gClubanna has been more or less finalised.

9.00am: Club cycle for members involved in cycling. Report to Clubhouse where Pearse will take the lead to the Greenway.

11.00am: 5K fun run/walk/crawl. This is intended to be a family event and will be staged over the club's perimeter walkway.

1.30-3.30: Football for all boys and girls from the nursery to the under-12 age group. First into action are the under-12 boys. Coaches and managers please orgnaise your players for Sunday's mini-games. Skill competitions.

3.30-4.10: Mullingar Town Band: Recital of 1916 themed music..

4.10: Parade of teams for mixed match/National Anthem

4.15-5.15: Match for all male and female club members aged 16-60.

5.45: Food followed by presentation of medals: 2015 Div. 3 & 6 & 2014 Div. 7 league medals; Feis Cup 2015 and Junior B Championship 2015.

Presentation of special commemorative medal to senior championship winning captains.

Entertainment provided by Scór champions and possibly Stars in Their Eyes with some surprise guests.

Food and refreshments will be available during the day but due to uncertainty about the weather, we have decided to keep the barbecue under wraps and all food will be served in the Club House.
