The Late Johnny Hannify ...
Mullingar Shamrocks Executive and members offer sincere sympathy to the family of the late Johnny Hannify and in particular to his son Ivan, to his twin brother Jim (Longford), sister Betty (Baxter, Longford), brothers Vincent (Maynooth) and Christy (Longford) and to his extended family and friends. Johnny's removal takes place on tomorrow (Tuesday) morning from Rooney's Funeral Home at 11.30 am arriving at Saint Brigid's Church, Boher, for Funeral Prayers followed by Funeral Mass at 12.00 pm.
Johnny Hannify was one of the great Scór people of Westmeath and was part of the great St Joseph's (Streamstown) quiz team that was virtually unbeatable in the county. We in Mullingar Shamrocks were never able to get the better of the boys from St Joseph's (well maybe once or twice!) in the past twenty years or more. The Mullingar Shamrocks club extends its sympathy to Johnny's two long term Quiz partners in that great team. Dick Stokes and Aidan Walsh.
