Our plans for Lá na gClubanna on Sunday 8 May are shaping-up nicely. Pearse is planning a cycle for the cycling members of the club starting at 9.00 am roughly; at 11.00 a fun 5K run has been scheduled. Football activity begins at 1.30 with the under-12 boys and will continue with mini-games for all our young players, both boys and girls. At 3.15 the Mullingar Town Band will honour us with their presence and perform a selection of 1916 themed music.  At 4.00pm a Gaelic Football match involving the male and female members of the club will be staged. This was one of the highlights of the previous Club day staged in 2009. After the match we move indoors to the Clubhouse for the medal presentation to the members of our successful 2015 teams (Junior B Championship, Feis Cup, Division 3 and 6 Leagues). This will be followed by a Scór segment which hopefully will feature a performance of the 2015 All-Ireland winning novelty act and will definitely feature a performance by our Leinster Champion Figure Dancing troupe. We also hope to include a segment from Grease at this stage.  The idea behind the Lá na gClubanna concept is to showcase the many activities of the club and its contribution to the Mullingar community. Food will be available all day; a barbecue will operate if the weather permits. All are invited, all are welcome and for past members it’s a day to renew your contact with your former comrades and maybe see the progress the club has made over the years.
