Scór All-Ireland Final
Bitter disappointment for our dancers in Killarney at the weekend when the coveted All-Ireland title eluded their grasp once again. The verdict from Kerry was that the girls danced superbly but unfortunately in the opinion of the one that mattered (and there is only one judge) the performance was not good enough. We congratulate the girls on their performance and no doubt they will return.
Grease
In recent years the club has presented a variety of musical entertainment ranging from the Ultimate Classical Show with a Celtic Twist to Stars in Your Eyes. The big news this week is that the club will now embark on its most ambitious project yet when we stage the hit musical Grease in the Arts Centre from 5-10 July 2016. Jemma McNamee (Director), Niamh O’Shea (Musical Director), Chris Corroon (Choreography), Aaron Purcell (Stage Manager) are the people in charge. Auditions open to all take place next Thursday night in the Arts Centre starting at 7.00. Full details are available on the Mullingar Shamrocks Facebook. The two essential requirements for those wishing to be involved are talent and voluntary commitment. So ‘You Better Shape Up’.
