Message from Mullingar Shamrocks Chairman, Sean Hynes:

Hi all,

Firstly, I hope you are all keeping well during what has been an extremely difficult time for everyone.

As you may be aware, the GAA released the Return to Play protocols recently. The document outlined a roadmap allowing training to return (with strict guidelines) from the 29th June. This is something we have all been looking forward to and the Executive Committee team and I have been busy studying the documents and updates over the past week.

The safety and wellbeing of our players, coaches and the wider Shamrocks family is paramount and of utmost importance to me and the committee.

That's why we are meticulously planning the return to play measures for our club.

Things have changed and there will be more for each of us to do. We will need your help and cooperation.

However, what I've learned in my years at Mullingar Shamrocks is that when there is a challenge, when help is needed, it brings out the very best in all of us.

There are minimum requirements that are essential for all those involved (players, parents, mentors, coaches etc) before we return and we will keep you posted in the coming days on the next steps and look forward to having our players back in the safest possible environment from the 29th June.

Kind Regards,

Sean Hynes,

Chairman,

Mullingar Shamrocks GAA Club.
