Advance Notice 1: Launch of Mullingar Shamrocks inclusion in GAA Healthy Club Project ...

On Saturday 6 October Mullingar Shamrocks will officially launch the club's inclusion in the GAA Healthy Club Project (HCP) and all members, friends and rivals are invited to attend on the day. The launch is scheduled to run from 11.00am to 1.00pm in The Clubhouse in Springfield. . On our launch day we are hosting the Mullingar Shamrocks Healthy Clubs Information Village in The Clubhouse in Springfield and we local Health and Wellbeing Groups, Agencies and Sports' clubs will join us on this special day for the Mullingar Shamrocks Club. Whelehans Pharmacies and Keane's CarePlus Pharmacies will attend and provide free blood pressure, diabetes and haemoglobin tests whilst Specsavers Mullingar will have an audiologist and optician on site who will do wax checks and colour vision tests for the young people.

Only 150 of the association's 1600 clubs have been included in this national project and thanks to the efforts of our Health and Wellbeing Officer, Joan Ormsby, Mullingar Shamrocks were included in the third phase of the project.
