Congrats Joe: The Fairies of Belvedere and Uisneach

Back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when Mullingar Shamrocks were emerging from their dark days' of the early 1970s, Joe O' Hehir was one of those associated with the revival.  Joe was a high scoring forward  for Mullingar Shamrocks and his kicking display against The Downs in the 1979 county semi-final was central to Shamrocks qualifying for the  county final with what was a surprise victory against the local rivals.

We offer our congratulations to Joe on the launch last Saturday in the Mullingar Arts Centre of his beautifully illustrated children's book The Fairies of Belvedere and Uisneach.
