Mullingar Shamrocks extends its sympathy to a number of families who suffered recent bereavements.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Noel Mooney of Coill Dubh, Co. Kildare. Noel’s brother, Aidan is one of our Community Employment employees and has given great service to the club for a number of years.

Sympathy is also tended to the family of Peter Lonican, Grinnell Terrace. Peter and his late wife Kathleen enjoyed many a great night in The Clubhouse back in the day. Kathleen never missed a night in the weekly pre-Covid Bingo days, and when her movement was restricted and she was confined her wheelchair, accompanied by her dedicated daughters Eileen and Josie, Kathleen  played her Bingo cards from the hallway of the clubhouse.

Sympathy is also extended to the families of those who lost their lives so tragically in Spain. In particular, we extend, our sympathy to the Newcombe family on the loss of Michaela. Michaela’s first cousin Kian is a member of the Mullingar Shamrocks Under-16 team and her uncle Derek is a club member.

Michaela  reposes at Gilsenan's Funeral Home (N91 K660) this evening (Wednesday)  from 3.30 pm concluding with prayers at 6.30 pm. Michael’s Funeral Mass takes place  on Thursday at 11.00 am in the Cathedral of Christ the King followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan (H12 RF78) at 2.30 pm.
