Meet the Judges (2); Jane Swarbrigg (@janeinglot)

Jane is a company director with Inglot Ireland, a company she established in the midst of the recession in 2009 with her mother Geraldine and her brother Peter. In the 1990s Geraldine Swarbrigg introduced Vero Moda to Ireland from Denmark, Jack & Jones and EXIT Kids; and then Aldo Shoes to Ireland. The first Inglot was opened in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin in July 2009 and Jane soon opened a second shop in Dundrum, which proved to be a turning point for the business.

The company, renowned for its innovative and premium quality products is one that more than just sells make-up. It has created an interactive community of artists and customers who share a common love of make-up and creativity.

Jane Swarbrigg has harnessed her passion for make-up, marketing and team building and evolved the company into the thriving powerhouse it is today. The Irish franchise now has sixteen stores and recently expanded into the UK and opened its first store in Newcastle.

Inglot boasts of a huge following of #inglotaddicts, a term used to describe the legion of followers, customers and a team of 300 strong make-up artists of the Inglot brand name.

In November 2017, at the Retail Excellence Ireland Awards, Inglot Ireland won the ‘Best Digital Campaign Category’ for the second year running.

It’s appropriate that on the night that Ireland competes in the Eurovision final that Jane Swarbrigg is judging Strictly Shamrocks; back in 1975 Jane’s dad Tommy and uncle Jimmy represented Ireland. ‘That’s what friends are for’ finished in ninth place; two years later Jimmy and Tommy  finished in third place with ‘It’s Nice to be in Love Again’.
