Meet the Dancers (14): Jordana and Pearse …

Pearse has his 8 county senior football medals and fifteen years served as club chairman and all he needs now to complete the collection is to add the Strictly Shamrocks title to the list. Pearse has served the club with extraordinary dedication since the late 1980s and captained Mullingar Shamrocks to win their fifth county senior title in 1990.

At heart, Pearse is a man of the showband era who brought a touch of showbusiness to the club during his time as chairman through his promotion of   Stars in Your Eyes, The Ultimate Classical Music Show and of course Grease in 2016.  Pearse is a man with stage presence and believes in being present on stage but his dancing has been limited to a bit of line dancing at the last edition of Stars in Your Eyes.

Jordana (the former Džordana) McGrath, manager of Dunphy’s SuperValu, Granrad is a native of Lithuania but has lived in Ireland for over twenty years and with husband Francis hurling with Delvin (and an uncle-in-law one of Ireland’s top referees) and her Strictly Shamrocks experience, Jordana is well familiar with the world of the GAA. An outstanding student and business graduate of DIT, Jordana, a lady with a finely tuned social conscience, is a passionate kick-boxer.

Jordana and Pearse will perform the Cha Cha on 12 May to the music of Can You Feel It.   It has the potential to be spectacular and original, influenced by Pearse’s country-showband musical heritage fused with some of Jordana’s east-European Eurovision-type flair.

Jordana and Pearse could be the surprise packet!
