The late Antoinette Thornton

Mullingar Shamrocks members were shocked to learn of the death of Antoinette Thornton. Sincerest sympathy is offered to Antoinette’s children Seoidín, Sióg and Reiltin, her  parents Peter and Caroline, her brothers Lee and Peter and her sister Clara.  The Thornton family have made a valuable contribution to Mullingar Shamrocks Ladies Gaelic Football over the past few years. Peter is involved in coaching our Under-14 team, Seoidin plays with our under-12 team and Reitlin and Siog are involved at Under-6 level. Antoinette’s sister Clara is a star player with Mullingar Shamrocks senior team. As a mark of respect to Antoinette, the club has cancelled our Under-12 and senior matches scheduled for Thursday evening and Under-14 training scheduled for tonight.

Antoinette will be reposing at the family home at The Court, Lakepoint, Mullingar between 5.00pm and 8.00pm tonight (Wednesday). Antoinette’s funeral Mass takes place at 11.00am on Thursday in St Paul’s Church, Mullingar.
