Ciiara and Tom

Ciara Maguire and Tom Moore are members of families that have been synonymous with Mullingar Shamrocks over the decades. Ciara has a long history of involvement with Shamrocks that includes playing with Mullingar Shamrocks Ladies Gaelic Football teams and competing in Scór and Scór na nÓg. Ciara’s collection of medals includes several Westmeath and Leinster Scór medals in Figure Dancing. Ciara is ‘in it to win it’ and means business in two weeks’ time.

Tom Moore will be making his stage debut to all intents and purposes on 12 May. However, he did appear on the stage of the Gaiety Theatre when he was a young boy in Mrs Wright’s class in the Presentation School. Tom was the third little pig that killed the big bad wolf in the play The Three Little Piglets and the Big Bad Wolf! That was a long-time age: Eamon de Valera was President of Ireland at the time and his wife Sinéad was present on the auspicious occasion! Tom Moore, Mr Captain of Mullingar Golf Club for 2018, has a full collection of under-age county football medals won with Mullingar Shamrocks but work commitments limited his involvement at adult level where his activities were confined to junior level.

On 12 May Ciara and Tom will perform the Paso Doble to the music of Los Toreadors
