Shannon Daly and Gerry Mulligan ...

Shannon was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa in 1991 and has lived in Mullingar since she was two-years-of-age.  Shannon works as a Process Scientist in Zoetis, a Tullamore-based biopharmaceutical company.  Shannon was introduced to Irish dancing as a six-year-old and it quickly became a big part of her life.  A huge portion of Shannon’s spare time (and Aidan’s and Mary’s also) was taken up with the hard work of learning a variety of steps and the physical exercise associated with competing at the highest level in her chosen sport. Shannon’s dedication and talent were rewarded, and she achieved the ultimate honour by winning THREE consecutive WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP titles in Belfast, Ennis and Killarney. 

Shannon’s dancing partner, Gerry Mulligan has studied Animation and Motion Design in the Limerick School of Art and Design. Gerry made his stage debut in 2014 in Les Miserables in the Mullingar Arts Centre and since then he has taken part in Cats, Grease and Singing in the Rain.  Gerry also appeared on the Ray D’Arcy TV show in 2017 when he performed Greased Lightning.  Gerry might also be following in the footsteps of the great illusionist Keith Barry as he has been known to produce a deck of cards in the occasional nightclub and demonstrate some amazing magic tricks.

All that remains to be seen now is can the former world champion and the student of animation and motion Salsa when they step on to the stage of the Park Hotel on 12 May.
