All-Ireland Champions etc
Some of our players and former players have done well (to put it mildly) in other sports last weekend. Tadhg Sheridan added to his boxing reputation by winning the 31kg All-Ireland Boys 2 boxing title in the famous National Stadium; across the city Conor O’Brien ‘the big 22-year-old from Mullingar’ according to Gerry Thornley in the Irish Times, was making his home debut for Leinster against Zebre a 41-6 winning one in the Guinness Pro 14 League. And down in the AIT Arena in Athlone, Criostóir Ormsby was part of the winning Mullingar Harriers 4x100 All-Ireland Under-12 Indoor title winning quartet. This completed a nice double for Criostóir as a week earlier he collected the All-Ireland Under-12 Long Jump title producing the big jump when it really mattered. Congrats to all.
