Under-16 Football League: Mullingar Shamrocks 4-13 The Downs 0-8

 Following the example set by our senior LGF on Sunday evening our Under-16 boys produced one of their finest displays since they came together as a group in their match with The Downs and reversed a loss to the black and ambers earlier in the season in the process. This was not an occasion for singling out individual performances as in Springfield on Monday night we witnessed a great team performance during which eight different players posted scores led by Rory O’Sullivan Sexton (2-2) from mid-field and Zach Aherne (1-3) playing at centre-forward.
