Under-16 Ladies Gaelic Footballers Don the Westmeath Jerseys

Our under-age Ladies Gaelic Football players have been active on the inter-county front recently.  Eric Smith (despite his injury the show must go on for Eric) has joined Aidan Gorry, Eileen Gorry and Elaine Cooney as part of Under-16 Westmeath Ladies Gaelic Football team. Three Shamrocks girls have been selected on the panel. The team had a great 3-16 to 4-4 win against Louth on Sunday in Balbriggan in the opening round of the Leinster Championship. Susanna Buckley started at wing half-back, Máiread Newman came on during the second half and Nicola Groenewald was also involved. Well done to all concerned.
