Current minor player Anna Jones made her senior inter-county debut for Westmeath in the Ladies Gaelic Football Division 1 match in Swinford. Anna played wing-forward beside Karen Hegarty who lined out at centre-half forward.  Although beaten 0-11 to 0-7 Westmeath turned in a fine display on their return to Division 1 of the national league. Clara Thornton is also a member of the Westmeath panel but has been out of action for the past two weeks observing concussion protocol.
