Santa Claus Visit

The Clubhouse in Springfield was a hive of activity on Sunday evening as over 100 boys and girls led by three-month-old Alexander Moore who was making his debut in Springfield, availed of the opportunity to meet and greet the man of the moment, Santa Claus himself. Although weather conditions were perfect for Santa’s journey the thaw that followed the snowfall on Sunday morning made it possible to go ahead with the party in The Clubhouse where the décor was truly magnificent. This was the result of an amazing team effort over the previous two weeks as a team captained by Roisín Masterson, supported by her vice-captains Murty Ryan, Shandel Sheerin-Rice and Ciara Maguire turned the venue into a Christmas winter wonderland. This team made it possible to spread the happiness and make Santa’s party a superb community occasion. The parents too were catered for with biscuits, cake, tea and coffee in an operation that took a serious amount of planning and organising. A big Thank You to all concerned.It's been a good week for the club.
