Thanks to all who made the Fashion Show a success …

The sums have been added, the bills paid and it’s great to be report that the Mullingar Shamrocks Fashion show has been a financial as well as a great social success. Our fashion show committee of  Detty, Debbie, and Roisin would like to thank all who helped to make the night a success. For the benefit of our members looking on from the outside a little explanation of the amount of people who combined to run a fashion show that ran as smoothly as some of the silk garments on display on the night.

The show could not take place without the support of Mullingar’s boutiques and fashion houses so a special thanks to Pamela Scott, Wilfs, Vila Clothes, Zaro, Tatters, La Roc Boutique, Penneys, John P. Foy Menswear, Montgomery Millinery, The Wardrobe, Shaws Department Store, Clara Ellen Boutique, Minx, Team, Hazy Days and Hugh Daniels who made it all possible.

We also received prizes from the following for the raffle which of course boosted the take on the night: Zaro, Minx, The Wardrobe, La Roc Boutique, Shaws Department Store, John P. Foy Menswear, Hugh Daniels and Des Maguires Hairdressing supplies. Thanks to all and to John and his team at the

Greville Arms Hotel.

As we now know the models made the show and especially the children and those who no longer consider themselves children:  Padraig, Maria C, Tom, Grave, Darragh D, Paddy, Theo, Mary, Ty, Lauren, Emily, Molly, Maria K, Aoife, Charlie, Ted and Darragh Mc. You were all great.

We had two teams of adult models and one substitute if we were lining out on the football field: Darina, Alma, Maria, Debbie, Róisín, Karen, Helen, Mary Farrell, Mary Hughes, Mary Heery, Mary Irwin, Carol, Phil, Siobhan, Rachel H, Rachel, Emily, Nellie, Fatyia, Mairead, Kara, Saundra, Darren, Tye, Zach, Paul, Tom, Stephen, Barry, Declan and Ross.

Our A.V. technician Kevin Matthews was his usual professional self, compere Paul (with a little help from Derek Montgomery) entertained the masses and Ciara organised everything back stage, Marie Burke and Ann Melody with a little help from Pat Collins took care of the gate receipts.

Excluding the store personnel, that is 56 people who helped to make the night!

Did someone say organising a Fashion Show was easy?

Well done to  all involved and especially the fashion show committee of  Detty, Debbie, and Roisin
