The Aussies are coming …

On Tuesday 5 December Mullingar Shamrocks host a touring party of 44 young Australian Gaelic footballers and will play the visitors in an under-16 and under-17 challenge on Tuesday evening (5 December) in Lakepoint Park (3G) on their arrival. Paul Doolin oversees the entertainment and is in the process of putting together a programme of Irish song, music and dance for the post-match party in the Clubhouse. Mark it down in the diary

Junior B Championship

Our 2017 football campaign finally ended on Saturday in Ballymore when we were beaten by the home side by a single point after trailing by eight points at one stage in our first round Junior B Football Championship.

Fashion Show

Tickets are selling well for our forthcoming Fashion Show in the Greville Arms on Tuesday 7 November at 8.00pm when Mullingar’s leading houses of fashion display the latest styles.

The Late Mollie Clinton and Thomas Haugh

Mullingar Shamrocks expresses sincere sympathy to Gerry and Margaret Clinton on the death of Gerry’s mother Mollie and to the other members of the Clinton family, Sean, Marie, Irene, Tony and Eamonn.  Sympathy is also expressed to Mollie’s sister Nan (Cleary), her brothers Ned and Sean and to the extended members of the Clinton family. Mollie was of course grannie of Shamrocks player Anthony.

Sympathy is also extended to the family of the late Thomas (Frankie) Haugh, D’Alton Park,  who  died during the week and especially to his sons Oliver, Kieran, James, Thomas and his daughter Elizabeth, his sister Bridie (Carroll) and extended family and friends. Thomas’ grandchildren line out for Mullingar Shamrocks at under-age level.

May they rest in peace.
