Best of Luck Darragh …  

Saturday next is All-Ireland Finals day in Scór na nÓg and we wish Darragh McCabe the best of luck in the final of the Ámhránaíocht Aonair – Solo Singing Competition.  Darragh will sing Only Our Rivers Run Free. 

We also thank all those who helped prepare Darragh for Saturday’s final which takes place in the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan with the competitions starting at 2.45 pm. 

It will be a proud day for the Mullingar Shamrocks  Club and a very special day for the McCabe family. Our Cultural Officer is Darragh’s mum Emma who has done brilliant work this year in promoting Scór activities in the club. 
 

Darragh loves his singing and first stepped on to the stage for Mullingar Shamrocks back in 2019 in the Mullingar Park Hotel as a cast member of The Greatest Showman in our wonderful Musicals fundraising night. 

Darragh is now part of, and is maintaining a great Mullingar Shamrocks Scór tradition and has qualified for the All-Ireland final after winning the Scór Iarmhí title and the Scór Laighean  title.

Best of luck also to The Downs GAA Club representatives who contest several events, to the Moate All Whites  and Bunbrosna GAA  representatives as the Westmeathgaaofficial continues its great GAA record of promoting Irish cultural activities.
