Bits and Pieces from the weekend ... 

If there were any doubts about Niall Horan standing as an international solo superstar (and there weren't ) they were well and truly  dispelled by the figures published in Pollstar, the journal of the music business. Niall performed 85 shows in 2024 that generated $68 million at the box office  after just over 1 million fans paid to be entertained by the Mullingar superstar. It's been quite the journey from the weekend Niall performed as Jason Mraz singing I'm Yours  in the Mullingar Shamrocks Stars in Your Eyes Fundraiser. 

And we wrote about James Ryan hurley making enterprise recently as a fundraising enterprise for John McCauley's Heavenly Homes Project.  Well James had the satisfaction of  seeing Gavin Hogan using a James Ryan hurley in Croke Park on Sunday as Na Fianna handed out a hurling lesson to Sarsfields,  

Finally we know that Marty Morrissey was spotted moving past the Mullingar Shamrocks Clubhouse on Friday night. One of our well known members was wondering if he had seen a vision. But Ben McNamee was on the ball and welcomed Marty to Springfield wearing his full Mullingar Shamrocks gear.
